Saturday, I learned "tints" are not necessarily colors for your hair.
Katie invited me, along with her Grandma
to ride to Home Depot to browse wallpaper. Kate is a conscientious driver, always careful and safe, never speeds and has never been pulled over. Saturday afternoon, as we passed through the neighboring small town, she was nailed.
Not speeding. Inspection okay. Tires are good. Not talking on her cell phone. Kate was pulled over, with her mother in the front seat knitting, and her Grandma in the back seat, eating an ice cream cone, for "tints."
She politely explained to the officer that she had never been pulled over, and she was driving her husband's car, and that she was going to kill him when she got home. Officer so-and-so, who looked all of about 15 years old, politely asked for her license and registration. Katie had neither.
As the fuzz was doing what the fuzz does in their car, Katie is frantically trying to reach her husband, to give him a piece of her mind.... and Ray wonders why she would even think to drive through Middleport with the windows UP???? A wonderful moment followed as they "discussed" this question.
After getting the ticket, Katie wondered what the heck her husband thought he was...the President of the United States having to travel undetected?????
It was a laughable moment, and a learning moment, as Ray had to scrape off every bit of the $130 he had put on the windows three years ago and thanks to a cop in the family, will not have to appear in court to plead the mercy of His Honor.
JR suggested we just get him a pair of fuzzy dice to ease the pain.
Sunday was a lazy day. Do you you want to browse the gardens?
Another important thing happened this weekend... I made a decision, and this will be my next project.
And this is on the way. Super EBay deal at $6.00 a skein.
I think I also crave this.
