I've ordered my book
and joined this swap. Deadline to get in is May first...I think this is going to be a big one, but it was just so dang appealing!
I'm excited to get this project book, since I do have lots of single skeins from my stash-building infancy, when I would go to yarn stores and buy yarn "just because." Because I liked the color or texture and because I thought I needed to have a stash! The swap works like this: you send a single new skein in June and another one in July, then in August, you send a gift made from the One Skein book! Doesn't that sound like fun?
My instant gratification project while I was sick was also made from one skein...One big, fat chunky skein of Burly Spun.
Then I lined it with a cool vintage yellow and white check chenille tablecloth before adding a bright yellow felted flower. I got the felted flower pattern here, from Paton's.
It will make a great project bag, I think.
My Sockapalooza Sock is coming along quickly...just about to the toe decreases.
I finally feel like I'm coming out of the fog of illness, and I'm going back to work today. It will be interesting to see how that goes, as I try my hardest to put out my most pleasant receptionist voice...still sounding all froggy and congested!
I love your sock, and recognized the pattern immediately! You're doing a beautiful job (of course!). I just bought some pink Lorna's Laces to make those socks for my daughter. (the one who doesn't wear anything we've knit for her so far- she's a tough cookie, and I'm a glutton for punishment!)

I am glad you're feeling better. Loved the creativity of the bowl of yarn (and the outcome)!

I love seeing your projects! And they are all pink! Are you going to be able to switch from pink to orange/yellow in April? :)

What a cute bag, Lynne! And the sock is so pretty. (It took me a minute to figure out that your hand was in the sock, and not your foot...I kept wondering, "where are her toes?")

I'll be watching for all the cute things you are going to make. Al says she's making me the cute purple and yellow bag at the end of the book.
Do you have that sexy raspy voice?
