April 21, 2006

Thank you , thank you, a thousand times thank you.  I appreciate each of your sentiments about our transitions. If I haven't responded to you personally, I will. I promise.  Please know that JR and I are okay, and I am able to live a full and satisfying life even in the midst of such struggles....that is just plain old faith. But we will count down the days til Wednesday with great anticipation for Ben.

I planned today to tell you about another transition..the delicate balance between life and death. But honestly, I don't know if I can do it today. It's almost too much for one week!  So I will share instead....

PROJECT:COLORSWAP!!!!   I am so very proud of  this project!  I was a bit nervous going into it, because we have all had our bad swap experiences...but so far, everyone has been wonderful and great and awesome and generous!  Each of the participants has made me proud. Head on over to the ColorSwap page if you are interested in the June Swap!

So, let me share with you the package I received yesterday from my April Colorswapper, Amy.

100_4603  It came in a very large Casual Corner box,

which really got me excited, I must admit. I was thinking...this girl is good...she knows I love fashion...

But even better...

100_4604  This package GLOWED with yellow and orange! And the best part of the surprise is that Amy took the time to make it an adventure to open and find each little yellow and orange  treat....

Such a cool package.

100_4612  Amy, YOU get the spirit of ColorSwapping! Thank you so very much for your fun package! Of course, I was a bad girl and opened the Sugar Daddy before I ate my dinner!

And an additional surprise in the mail from my other Swap Mate Amy...the CandySwapper!  She sent me a lovely parting gift after she received my candy package...a sneak preview of the wonderful stitch markers she will be selling in her new shop...

Amy also knows the value of clever and delicious packaging. I love that! I love the stitch markers and I thank each of my Amy's for the great mail surprises!

Boo hoo, even though I haven't gotten my CandySwap box.... Thank goodness my colorswapper sent me such a candy package!

Knitting? Yeah, I've been doing it...very little, but as Li says...sometimes life needs stitches.

I love your package! What a great surprize for you. I will be going with you on Wednesday. I have made that decision as I know it would make Ben very happy. This week has been just too much.

See, your Father knew you needed a great pick-me-up and loved on you through your ColorSwap pal! How precious you are to God and to all your blog friends! Sending more prayers out,
Cindy

Wow - Amy outdid herself!

Yay! I'm glad everything got there intact!

I had a lot of fun packing everything in the box. It was my little break on Saturday during my weekend of work hell. And Casual Corner went out of business last month or the month before, so that's the last box of theirs I had. They are >80% of my work wardrobe. Don't know what I will do in the future. Those boxes were fantastic, but I couldn't believe it was just a shred too large for the automated postal machine.

Anyway, I'm off to the airport soon to return home. And then wake up to your package tomorrow!

I just caught up on the post yesterday, and then today's. It's wonderful your son is taking the first step to recovery, I hope all goes well for him and for you and your husband. I can't even imagine the emotional turmoil you've gone through, but now hopefully in time your family can be whole again, at least in your son's recovery to be a better him.

Wow Great package. Definetely count me in through the end. I am a new participant but love to give and receive. Even though I know its far better to give than to receive.

Anyhow I love surprises and packages in the mail.

Love this project!

I am glad to hear that you are in such great spirits!

God Bless,

Marisol

WOW - you certainly got a very generous swapper there....look at the pressies - just what you needed methinks....don't want to sound trite and say hope life is getting better - but you know that I am thinking of you and those RED SHOES! Haven't been able to find anything like that over there :(
