Once I found my Chibi Tube of Needles in my make-up bag. And the garden pruners in the upstairs bathroom. And my hidden Valentine candy stash from a few years ago is forever lost.
which may explain this:
I have been missing the scissors from my desk at work since before Christmas. I have emailed, accused my co-workers in ministry of thievery, and made myself crazy tearing apart my space, TRYING to find the scissors. (you may recall that an item was missing last year from my desk, and getting it returned involved blackmail and ransom...I wrote about it on Dec.9, 2005)
As it turns out, my Secret Pal got her Christmas gift from me just a few days ago....a fun winter themed package for a Southern California pal.

Well, she gave rave reviews and heartfelt thanks on her blog, as she always does, and then, wrote,
"On a funny aside, SP, if you are looking for your scissors I found them in the shipping box. Umm, they are a little dull, so what exactly were you using them for? I figure they were relegated to only paper cutting or something like that. I felt a little like I was looking at modern art - appreciative but not really seeing how it went with the theme. If I am completely missing the point of the wonderful yellow handled scissors, I apologize in advance. I just thought it was very funny when I realized what might have happened :O)"
Modern Art! I just about peed my pants when I read this! SO, was it just the stress of the holidays or pre-menopausal aging brain cells? ( mean the misplaced scissors, not the peeing my pants part)
I don't know, but I miss my scissors!
OK - that is just TOOOOO funny!
I love your beautiful new banner!

Too funny! Sounds like something I would do. I am constantly putting things in places that I am sure I won't forget, then of course forgetting where I put them. When I run across an item later, by chance, I'm always amazed that I thought that "this will be a place that I will remember"!
Love the new look, btw!

I thought of your poor kidnapped stapler right away... what a hilarious post! Oh boy... hopefully it feels better knowing that any one of us could have done that. :)
Love the blog's new look. Happy New Year!

OK, that is really funny! I always thought these tales of forgetting why you came into a room and misplacing your glasses on top of your head were a bunch of hooie - until I started experiencing it. I can sympathize! I like the new look on your blog!

HIlarious!!! My hubby lost his keys for months once and I finally found them on the top shelf of the cupboard in a box with vitamins!! He insists that he didn't do it but lets see, he is 6'4" and I have to get a chair to reach that shelf. Hmmmm. Couldn't have been him, right?

Love the new banner! It's soooo YOU!!!
Too funny about the scissors. Hey, is that your last marble I just saw rolling across the floor? :)

That's hilarious! I often worry about sending an internal email or some random post-it to someone at work unknowingly. I'm glad your scissors were not taken at the hands of a thieve at work. :-p Your new look is great!

I think it just means that you are a very busy chick, and that you may be just a little distracted. Do you hear voices (probably your family members) saying "Slow down. Do one thing at a time."
The Chibi in the make-up bag sounds perfectly normal to me. I would put mine in there to keep it from falling out of my purse, or getting lost in my luggage.

TOO funny about the scissors. She IS going to send them back to you, right? Peeing the patns, well, let's just say that we're quite familiar w/that around here, and it has NOTHING to do w/Thing One or Thing Two. ;->
Like the new look. Had to scroll down to the sock pics to make sure I was in the right place b/c I was so surprised!

I'm snorting Kool-aid out my nose right now!! Hysterical! My scrapbooking scissors are missing right now also. Hmmm...who did I send that last box to??

That is too funny.
Scissors in our house are often lost or put in odd places. They are never were they should be.
Love the new look, great color choices.
