I think I had a near death experience
And I have Denise to blame.
And Spinning class. Being on a quest for improved health, quite some time ago, I shared that I had started going to the gym. And watching "The Biggest Loser" in marathon fashion, while I'm sitting on the sofa knitting.
Denise took me to a spinning class (NOT the kind that produces yarn) on Saturday morning. I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack and they would have to call paramedics and my next of kin.
The way I see it, I am having foot surgery in six weeks. I have six weeks to get into a "bonus health" situation since I won't be able to work out while I'm on crutches. So I decided that I will go to spinning class again this Saturday. And I'll go to the gym as per usual this week. (If I can get off the couch to get into the car because my lower body is so sore I can hardly sit on the toilet, let alone get in an out of my car an extra time each day.)
I got a new camera! Oh, I do love this little camera, my Canon Powershot Elph. I'm trying to figure it all out, and here are the results so far...
This is a the second baby sweater. Isn't the picot edged rib sweet?
JR is taking a nap...oh, look! He's wearing the socks I made for him!
I'm a happy girl. Other than the fact that my butt really hurts.

Hey, it's great that you're getting out there! Be proud of yourself!

You go girl! My mom had foot surgery (of the non-weight bearing kind) right after I moved 8 hours away. She had to draw pictures to help my dad figure out how to use the washing machine. You get in the best shape you can beforehand!!! Good luck!

Sorry you're having to have foot surgery but way to go on getting ready for it. I've been a lazy bum since we moved back to the States and it shows.

It will only be sore for the next 3 or 4 spinning classes then it stops hurting. Will you be attending Monday nights class with the "D-Purl" and me?

LOL oh Lynne - ouch, ouch, ouch! Nice socks on JR and nice socks with your new book ;-)
Have a good week - my advice - Ben Gay!

You're funny. I can just picture you walking around your house, taking pictures of whatever strikes your fancy. Did JR wake up when you snapped his picture?

Too funny!! I absolutely now how you feel. I have been trying new, different classes at the gym all week which has resulted in every single muscle in my body aching at one time. But i guess it is a good pain in the end.
Congrats on the camera!

You are too funny. I went to spinning class once. I still go to the gym, but spinning? Yeah, once. I feel your pain.

I felt exactly the same way the one time I took a spinning class. Walking, running, aerobics I can handle. Spinning, not so much! Good for you on the fitness goals though!

Good that you are prepping for surgery, BUT, spin class? THat's really admirable. I think you should nap more and be very well rested. This is a nurse talking you know

Glad you were able to get a different camera!

Besides the heart attack and pain, was spinning class fun? I have been wondering about that.

We have an Elph and it's a really good camera, esp. for a non photographer like myself. Good for you for taking the other one back.
I've never taken a spin class, though I do ride my bike outdoors or on the indoor trainer. It sounds like what you're doing is a lot harder!

Wow. I thought I was a little sore after I got my spinning wheel. Maybe I should get off the couch more, I feel like such a wimp now! Hope the classes get easier for you...

I have yet to try spinning, and now I might not. I'm glad you're going to do try again.
