I'm going back to work on Monday! I'm so excited. It's weird, isn't it, that I would be excited to go back to work? But I love my job, and I love my people there. This week, I've been gradually moving toward walking in regular sneakers, and every day, my foot is improving.
Speaking of feet. As usual, the pressure is on to finish the May Day Socks. I always find myself frantically knitting that second sock the last week of a swap. But then, I always work best under pressure.
(It's not easy for me to knit a sock when I have a sweater that's almost complete, either.)
And speaking of May Day. It makes me think of warmer weather, and what you all are knitting for summer. For me, it's another Green Gable with elbow length sleeves, with this beautiful turquoise Berroco Touche.
And finishing the Katharine Hepburn. And after seeing a few finished Show Off Ruffle skirts
(from Lace Style) on Ravelry, the passion is re-ignited ! I must finish my skirt.
There has to be another something to knit for warm weather, and I haven't quite found the right thing just yet. Any ideas? What are you knitting in the way of short sleeves or tanks? Indulge me, please! I need some inspiration!
And speaking of May Day and feet. I think I paint my toenails today. In honor of Spring, and healing.

Hooray for the blessings of healing! Hooray for loving the work you do.
Summer knitting? I'm just flying by the seat of my pants as usual. I am thinking baby sweater, however. IN cotton.....

well, very good for you Lynne! All looks great, especially the sock. That second sock!

Glad you're healing well and get to return to your people at work soon! I think painting your toenails will have beneficial effects on the mind and body. (Why else would God have created us to notice pretty shiny things?)

I know I'm a bit further south than you are (NJ), but I painted my toenails for the first time since last fall today. Very therapeutic. Highly recommended. Yay for spring AND healing!
Green Gable is next on my list, too. I can't wait to see your modifications!

I love my job, too. Sometimes on the weekend, when I'm tired, I long for my far away retirement, but every day at work I realize how much I appreciate it.

Congrats on being able to go back to work!

So glad you're on the mend. No summer tanks for me - just socks and lace, maybe a new shawl if I finish the two I have started. I'm getting a head start on Christmas presents - I want to make them all this year, so sewing will take a front seat!

Hooray for going back to work!
I can't wait to see the pink sweater. It looks gorgeous!

You look ready to go.
My goodness, I love that skirt!
I have started my summer knitting, Silk Tank Corset, and a Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora Jacket because the nights are cool (sometimes..)

I have often thought how great it would be to work where you work and to work with someone like you, Lynne. The people with whom you work every day are truly blessed to have you in their lives.

Congratulations Lynne on going back to work. I know your co-workers have missed you as much as you've missed them. You'll be showing off those toes in pretty sandals before you know it.
Spring knitting? I'm finishing my winter sweater first. But I have my eye on the Papillion Top from Knitscene (it's a short sleeved sweater), and I like the vintage-style Marjorie from the Spring Knitty. I think you'd really like that one, and it would look good on you, too.

Glad to hear you're healing well and looking forward to getting back to work. Good luck with the sock knitting. I'm so relieved to be done. I don't work well under stress. :)
