Want to see what I did last Friday?
http://brownbuffalo.zenfolio.com/p193775845/?photo=868129960. With rehearsals every night last week, I have done precious little knitting. But what an experience. There were almost 500 of us singing that night to a sold out auditorium. Rise Up was a live CD recording which will be nationally released this year. Talk about an amazing opportunity... All of us, singing and making music together to raise money for programs to address youth violence in Buffalo.
My May Day sock is just about ready to mail!
Like Emily, I have been knitting within a stitch of my sanity every waking moment to get these socks complete. Tomorrow is May Day! Go figure! This has been such a fun little sock swap to hostess. Even though Emily and I have had every imaginable thing (baby, surgery, JR's diagnosis,Wee Tiny Sock Swap, and an endless stream of family visitors) in the last few months, we are already excited about the sock packages that will be making their way around the country next week. And just a hint of sock swaps to come.....think Halloween!
Anyway, with these socks complete, I can finish up the Lush and Lacy Cardigan this weekend. She's all assembled other than the sleeves. "This Close" to another FO!!!!
Enjoy your day....and thank you thank you thank you for your prayers and encouragement. This weekend, I hope to tackle the few hundred emails and comments that you written. And we'd like to get the porch painted.

You and Emily are the most lovely hostesses! Thanks for taking on the organization of swapping all the while wading through life.

Oops, as I hit post I was just thinking... sometimes its the giving of ourselves that makes the wading easier. Hoping you won't need more than wellie boots through this latest chapter of your life. ;-)

I think I might have been able to see you in the choir? Is it possible?
That's great, I know my hubby would love to be part of something like that.

I found such a cool blog, I had to share it with you. It's http://www.threebeautifulthings.blogspot.com/ and everyday she writes about three beautiful things that have happened in her life that day. It's an uplifter, that's for sure! You and JR still in my prayers!

Thinking of you......

Hello Lynne - Hugs to you! XOXOX
When knitting socks on a deadline, every stitch disappears, little elfs come at night and unknit everything you did that day... you even begin knitting in reverse. Or so it seems. It's impossible to make progress when knitting socks on a deadline. Just impossible. I'm convinced.
I'm so sorry to hear of the worry and concern about your husband and his illness. Place every worry upon the Savior. He can carry it all. And go forth with what you must. I'm thinking of you and praying for you, your husband, and your family for peace and comfort.

Rise Up sounds like an amazing experience. I hope that many blessings come from it, especially for the groups you are assisting in Buffalo.
Don't worry about answering everyone in the email -- enjoy your weekend and your time with JR, even if it means painting the porch. :)

Mine got in the mail before I remembered to take a picture of them! I really have enjoyed this swap - in spite of everything - and I am looking forward to Halloween! October is a very good month for shipping chocolate!

It's been crazy busy around my house lately, so haven't had any computer time to speak of. I just read through your last couple of weeks and want you to know that I have added my prayers for you and JR to the others winging their way through the skies...

No doubt... the two of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
