Isn't this color incredible?
It reminds me of the color of the ocean
when I was in Hawaii.
I'm changing up the Green Gable this time around. This version will have elbow length sleeves and I'm going to use short row shaping for the bustline, following the Shapely Tank pattern AND the Knitty tutorial AND Lisa's copy of Big Girl Knits. I have no fear! I will make a shapely-short row-big girl-Green Gable!
Look what I checked off my list!
Despite many pre-finish concerns about fit, I have to tell you that I think I love this sweater. With the several modifications made, it's a winner. I'll share more about what I did on my "reveal" post in a few days....I can't wait to show you!
What else is new? Let's see. Faux Tan. That's how I'm doing it this summer, and so far the results are favorable. I figure it's a good idea to practice safe sunning at this point in my life, since I have long neglected the aging and cancer warnings. This stuff is awesome...better than any other tanning product I've tried.
What are you going to do this weekend? Plant annuals? Put out your patio furniture? Me? I'm tanning, knitting, reading, and singing. And enjoying some time with my husband.

oh wow can't wait for the reveal!

Oh I do love that color. Reminds me of the color I used on my green gable, but sadly was destroyed in the flood of 07. I'll relive it through you! Have a great weekend. Sounds like you have some nice relaxing plans!

That's the color of my Green Gable, too! :) (But my GG is on the give-away pile. My yarn was itchy and the sweater never quite fit the way I wanted it to.) I remember how great you looked in your first one. Your next one will be even better!

I need to make that healthy decision, too. I find the sun so comforting, though. Have to break that habit. Thanks for the link, three hours sounds quite reasonable. How does it smell compared to the usual suspects?

It sounds like you had a full day- for me today I did some needed power shopping! And you can bet I'll be checking your tan out on Knit night. Now on to the season finale of Desperate Housewives.
