Here she is, the new Green Gable.
She is knit with Berrocco Touche' (sale yarn that's been hanging out in my stash) on size 6 needles. The yarn is nice, even though it's a bit heavier than I would have liked. I adore the color of this yarn. This is my second GG, because I do love the pattern so much.
My modifications?
Short Row bust shaping, which I will consider for ALL of my sweaters from now on. This created such a nice fit, without shortening the front at all.
Lengthened the body.
Lengthened the sleeves. in fact, i just may add another inch to the sleeve length to bring it to the elbow.
Love this sweater!

it's beautiful!

Wow, that looks great! The color looks beautiful on you.
I'm glad to hear that the short row shaping works well for the GG. I haven't made mine yet, partially because I'm a bit scared to try short rows, and I know they'd be necessary for this pattern.

Oh, Lynne, that sweater looks fabulous on you, both the fit and the color. I considered knitting it, but I knew so many people who had trouble with it that I never did. . . now I might have to reconsider!!
